Questions people ask before applying
No. The entire first month of the major is Python, taught from zero: syntax, data structures, functions, object-oriented programming, then NumPy and Pandas. The AI content starts in month 2, once everyone can code.
No, but you need to be willing to learn it. We teach the linear algebra, statistics and optimisation you need from the ground up and in plain language. If you are allergic to maths entirely, this is not the right program.
Yes, and most students do. The program is primarily asynchronous: weekly recorded sessions plus a structured roadmap you follow at your own pace, with two optional live Q&A sessions a week.
A normal laptop is enough. Heavier training runs are done in cloud notebooks, so you do not need an expensive GPU machine to complete the program.
Month 1 is Python from scratch. Months 2 and 3 cover classic machine learning, neural networks, computer vision and sequence models. Months 4 and 5 cover information retrieval, embeddings, semantic and hybrid search, LLMs, RAG engineering, evaluation, production deployment and your capstone.
